Picture of the Week: 1 - Posted on November, 27, 2008
So, just like the Video of the Week, I'll also give you a Picture of the Week. This week's takes us to something very important to me: the Redskins. A year ago today, Sean Taylor passed after being shot in his home.

On a more uplifting note, Happy Thanksgiving!

Heroes Episode 10: Eclipse - Part 1 - Posted on November, 25, 2008

*sigh* At least this series still has potential

So, I'm a pretty big fan of some television shows. Most notably Heroes, Lost, and Fringe. These three shows are the only ones that I actually leave time out of my schedule to watch. So after each of those shows air...I might just post my thoughts on where the show is going and on that specific episode itself.

I'll start off by saying that last week's episode was alright, but the end felt like the writers would take this season into SOME kind of direction. The lines had been set between the good and the evil. The idea of Angela vs. Arthur and their respective gangs of super humans battling for the future of the world had me excited. I was really happy with the ending. But then..."Eclipse - Part 1" happened.

The team is split and sent off to perform their own assignments. The most important of these assignments is Claire's protection from Arthur's "Villains". HRG is given this task and stupidly takes her to an obvious "hiding" place with no locks. They mentioned locking her up in Level 5, and I thought that wasn't a bad idea. That's less bitching and moaning that I, as a viewer, have to deal with. Instead, HRG takes her to train by letting her swing various pieces of wood at a column. Kick ass.

This brings me to Sylar and Elle's journey together and that weird dynamic they have. I don't like these two characters. Before, it felt like Sylar was blindly on the villains side, trying desperately to gain his father's approval . However, he wasn't truly a "bad guy", just someone who wants his father to be proud of him. This was truly evident when Sylar showed empathy toward Elle to gain her powers.

Then when they are on their first mission she goes all crazy bitch on him and suddenly he is just back to being a bad guy again, and that special quality of Sylar is lost. I wanted Sylar to backfire on Arthur as Sylar realizes he is on the wrong side. Elle is showing to be a waste of my time and I hope that HRG snipes her head off. Not to mention that their exchanges seem to be taken straight out of a day time soap opera, both in dialogue and acting ability. It frustrates me when they speak to each other.

Hiro has turned into the most annoying character on the show, by far. I don't know where this is going, but next episode he better regain his memory before I plant my heel in the television. Usually I can pick out what the writers are trying to make me feel with certain characters, but I'm lost with Hiro.

Nathan and Peter. I dig their mission. They are going to retrieve the Haitian, because he is the only person that can stop Arthur. But now, they are all stuck in the jungle and it seems it'll take a while before that plot arc will go anywhere. Hopefully, some key points will be revealed THROUGH this adventure, or else I'll deem it a waste of time.

I just want Claire to die. She is the second most annoying character now, since Hiro became ten years old. They gave one of the coolest powers to just a whiner and she better grow up NOW or I'll plant my OTHER heel in the T.V. I know it seems like I'm being harsh on this episode, but last episode ended so wonderfully and set up what could be a great story arc for the whole gang. Unfortunately, I fear the writer's aren't picking a specific direction.

Season 2 was repetitive (and that had a lot to do with the writer's strike, I realize). It seems the writers are trying to make up for that by packing so much different shit in, but most of it is pointless and isn't driving to any particular point. I want to feel a direction, whether it means saving the world or destroying it, I just want to be guided. There is still a chance to save this season, but the writers better give it their all from here on out.

Gangsta's don't blog... - Posted on November, 23, 2008
Oh yeah? You may think they don't, but I'm living proof that there is such thing as "Gangsta Bloggin". I've got Lil' Wayne on the side panel. What else do you need me to say?

Now that we've got THAT out of the way, I can continue with my message to my readers.

I'm not sure what this is going to be about. I have a vision of what I want this to be, but in the past none of those vision's have come to life. It's the start of Thanksgiving Break and I'm bored out of my mind, so I start up some website project that three days later fails miserably. Maybe that will happen...maybe not. We shall see.

In the meantime, enjoy what I'm talking about...because it's pretty fucking interesting.

Yeah, I cussed. Gangsta.
